Mea is a talented make-up artist and hairdresser with 16 years experience in her homecountry of Macedonia, as well as Arabic countries such as Qatar ,Oman and Bahrain. She moved to Switzerland this year and graduated from the Academy for Advanced Makeup (for special effects, Fashion shows, make -up for photography) in Zurich.
Mea tells us: “My story started after I graduated from high school for Еsthetic and Cosmetics. After which she enrolled in the Beauty and Hair Stylist Academy. I then found a job and started building my experience in “Joco Salon” for 7 years. I was 19, it was so exciting to work with clients, to build my experience, so I told my father that I would not go to any university and that I would invest my time and energy in seminars, academies and building my career. Now I can say that I was right because I followed my heart 😊 .
After opening and running my own salon called “Nefertiti-by Mea” for 3 years I felt that I wanted to travel, get to know a new culture and customs and at the same time improve my skills.
I left for Doha Qatar, where I accepted a job for a famous salon in Oman – Muscat – “Grand Spa” where I was part of the team of Hairdressers and Makeup Artists for Weddings and Fashion Shows.
I attended many events , I was at one big event as a key make-up artist at the “Labourjoisie” fashion show, as well as was at the competition for the best salon in Muscat where we won first place.
The next destination was in Manama, Bahrain where I got a job at “Dessange Paris” . A beautiful salon, normally by the standards of Dessange Paris, followed by executive masters from Paris who came to give us training every 6 months, so I learned so many interesting techniques that simplified and advanced my direction of Haircuts and Sun Kiss Balayage. I stayed in Bahrain for two years until the pandemic started and I decided to return to Macedonia.
I joined as a partner in my friend’s salon and that’s how my story of coming to Switzerland begins. A client who lives here came to the salon and told us about life in Switzerland, the Swiss as a wonderful cultural people, we saw beautiful pictures of the beautiful nature and I said that’s it, that’s where I’d like to be when I grow old. Lucerne was love at first sight 🙂 😀
After thousands of satisfied customers, I decided to do my best and build my career here.
