The Grand Hotel National boasts a lakefront location and all four of its restaurants have terraces where you can enjoy their various culinary fares. Not to be missed are Marc’s amazing cocktails served at the National Bar, a particular favourite is the Lemon Drop!

The Seehotel Sternen in Horw is a local institution and reservations are recommended if you want to get a table on the lovely terrace. The food is good Swiss cooking and the little playground close by, making this a favourite with families as well as couples and business people.

Famed for its terrace with amazing views onto the Bürgenstock, this restaurant offers classic European food. With a stop for ferries at its doorstep, this is a great place to rest if you want to enjoy a walk from Luzern to Kastanienbaum via Bireggwald and catch a ferry back to downtown Luzern.
