If you are into football, then you know that our local team the FC Luzern has had a rough time with the departure of their coach last week, but things are looking up as the new coach was announced yesterday and it is local boy Gerardo Seoane, who previously was training the under 21 team. The 39 year old has dual Spanish-Swiss nationality and lives in Rothenburg. Many hope that he will bring a winning wind to the team. We certainly look forward to enjoying going to some local football matches in the spring. Hopp Luzern!

Zermatt (and Saas-Fee) faces its second day of being cut off from the world due to a very high risk of avalanches trapping over 10 000 tourists in the village, when the roads reopen (hopefully later today) the resort promises to have loads of snow and we will be sharing our experience at the ski resort later today so check back in!

On the 29th of December a bank in Meggen was robbed. After an intensive search the police have been able to arrest the robber: an 80 year old pensioner, who robbed the bank whilst wearing a mask but who apparently had no weapon.

Finally President Trump has said that he will be taking part in the World Economic Forum which will be taking place in Davos from January 23th to 26th.
