Luzern Live
Today marks the start of a new two-week festival taking place in Lucerne. Running from 20th – 29th July, the event sees a variety of live music and food stalls come together in the centre of the city. There’s over 60 bands playing, with musicians such as The Kooks, Billy Nomates and Hermanos Gutiérrez, as well as plenty of food stalls to quench your thirst and hunger this weekend. Lots of the music is free, or you can purchase tickets or a live pass on the website here.
Coop Open Air Cinema
Running until the 20th August, the Coop Open Air Cinema is an easy way to sit back, relax, and enjoy a film on the shores of the lake in Lucerne. Films on show this weekend are:
20th July: Golden years (with live guest Esther Gemsch)
21st July: The neighbors from above
22nd July: Elemental
23rd July: Vento di vita vera – The wind of true life (with live guest Kurt Koller)
