The Coop sponsored Open Air Cinema is back for another year to a town near you! There are 21 locations across Switzerland which are hosting a cinema amongst the picturesque backdrop of Swiss lakes and mountains.
In Lucerne, the Open Air Cinema is being held 12 July – 20 August at the Aula Alpenquai on the shores of the lake (right next to the Lili Centre!). There is a film showing every night during the running of the cinema, weather dependent.
Films on show in Lucerne this year include: A Man Called Otto, Top Gun: Maverick, The Undertaker, Super Mario Bros, Albert Anker, Last Dance, Ticket to paradise, Book Club, Avatar, Barbie, and so much more! You can download a full programme from the website here.
Tickets cost CHF 18 (plus an online booking fee), and there is also a discount available with the Coop Supercard. You can book online here (recommend so you guarantee a ticket and seat!). Most films start from 9pm, make sure to check online for specific times, and there’s also an Open Air Restaurant open from 7pm.
