I can’t believe it has taken me so long to visit the Tierpark Goldau, this place is amazing! The park is really big, there are three routes recommended; each one taking between one hour and one and a half hour to do.
The place is peppered with fun play areas for kids and grown ups alike and several picnic spots as well as cafeterias are available; on November 9th the new restaurant (Grüne Gans) will be opening. The animals live in very friendly enclosures and the best is that some of them get to roam free. You are given a box of food pellets and get to feed deer, mountain goats and other friendly creatures. Another highlight is the bear and wolf enclosure, they live peacefully together and if you are lucky to be there doing their snack time you get to see them up close and personal.
The large ponds is home to all sorts of birds and there is an underground viewing spot for the fish and otters. We went as a family and each one of us had a great time. In fact the impressions stayed with me for so long that I will definitely be getting us a yearly pass.
