Hess Uhren watches

Located on Stiftstrasse near the beautiful Church of St. Leodegar, HESS UHREN is a watch atelier founded by husband and wife Walter and Judith Hess. They became watchmakers because they couldn’t find timepieces that appealed to them and they wanted to create a high quality product that would be an alternative to the mainstream. Immediately upon meeting Mrs. Hess I can detect the passion that is behind their brand. Every watch is carefully created like a piece of art. They have two models, the TWO.1 and TWO.2. Each model can be made with either a black or brown crocodile strap. One of the special features that makes their watches so unique is the clock dial. If you look at it up close with a microscope you can see it’s composed of different colours so the appearance of the watch changes slightly based on the colour of clothing you are wearing. This effect is very discrete and tasteful of course which is what the HESS esthetic is all about.

If you walk by their atelier, you are likely to see Mr. Hess seated at the window working away on one of his latest creations. You can stop by during their opening hours or make an appointment to have a custom watch made to your specifications. There is also a beautiful gallery opened to art lovers within the same space as the shop where they showcase contemporary pieces from central Switzerland.
