400+ toys donated thanks to YOU!

Yesterday we delivered 400+ toys to the three Ukrainian centres in Lucerne (Prostir, Lukraina and Libellenhof). This would not have been possible without the amazing Christmas spirit this community showed. We had children bringing presents they had been given as prizes, parents bringing duplicates, kids giving away their loved bikes, Swiss and foreigners alike came together in the spirit of giving to others who might be safe from bombs but are missing their families and hoping for a bit of Christmas magic.

A special shoutout goes out to the volunteers who came to wrap presents that were given unwrapped, Manor for donating the wrapping paper, the core team for the logistics of getting the right presents to the right groups and Tim Sutton for providing us with a sleigh to bring the presents to the various venues!

The children and mothers were delighted and we really hope that we were able to bring a smile to the kids faces.

I want to tell you, thank you so much!

It was a real Christmas miracle!

This was the association’s last big project for this year. We have been particularly busy running various projects and establishing working relations with many organisations, next year look out for our Mental Health Initiative which is going to be one of our main projects.

As you probably know we are are a not for profit and run all our projects as volunteers, but we still need CHF 100 000.- a year to keep the centre up and running, so any financial support is appreciated. You can donate by going to this page. No donation is ever too small or too big!

Thank you!
