What a year!

There are not many days left of what has been a memorable year at the LiLi Centre. So let’s celebrate, not only Christmas and New Year but also what the LiLi Centre has achieved in 2022.

Charlie, the Managing Director and heart and soul of the centre, shared, “This has been a challenging and exhilarating year. I am taking with me that when the community comes together everything is possible. Together we are strong. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.💖”

Here are some of the LiLi Centre’s biggest and best achievements this year:

  • An online community of over 10,000 people strong and growing
  • Website traffic of over 180,000 visitors
  • Social media reach of 50,000 visitors
  • Created our own publishing house: Livingin Publishing House
  • Published the Settling in Zürich book and the Living in Luzern bilingual magazine
  • Relaunched the Mental Health Initiative project
  • 1500 volunteered hours at the centre
  • 400 members from 46 countries

The LiLi Centre has also run the following successful projects:

And this year there has been a special Ukrainian support group who have helped with the following projects:

  • Sending medical and humanitarian equipment to Ukraine at the beginning of the conflict
  • Ukrainian ‘100 Schoolbags’ appeal – collected and delivered donated schoolbags to Ukrainian schoolchildren in Lucerne
  • Helping the Ukrainian children in Lucerne – organised, wrapped and delivered 400 Christmas presents donated to the centre

The LiLi Centre can only achieve such efforts with the support and help of the community, the volunteers and every single donation received.

And that’s nearly a wrap for the LiLi Centre 2022 – we wish everyone a safe, healthy and happy holiday. 🥳🎄☃️🎁💫

The centre will remain closed until January 8 2023.
