Friday

Looking for a way to entertain the kids on Friday morning? The LiLi Centre in Luzern hosts a weekly playgroup from 9:30 – 11:45! A great place to meet other parents and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst the kids play. The group is free for members of the Centre or CHF 5.- for non members. Find out more here.

Saturday

This Saturday is the opening day of the Weltformat Graphic Design Festival in Luzern. There will be exhibitions taking place at venues across the city. This years theme is ‘tools & rules’ and aims to examines the wide range of traditional and contemporary tools used in graphic design today! A Festival Pass (Exhibitions & Symposium) costs CHF 40.- per person and can be brought online. There is also a cheaper Exhibition Pass which costs just CHF 15.- per person. On Saturday afternoon at the Kino Bourbaki (Löwenpl. 11, 6004) is the 16th annual ‘Schweizer Jungfilmfestivals – Upcoming Film Makers’ event! The Festival celebrates the work of young local film makers and provides a platform for them to present their work to the public. A festival pass costs just CHF 17.-, more details can be found here. The event starts at 15:00.

On Saturday evening Irish folk rock band The Led Farmers will be playing at the Treibhaus Luzern (Spelteriniweg 4, 6005)! A night of high energy, good laughs, great music and some beers and whiskeys and such things. Doors open at 20:30 the concert starts at 21:30. Tickets cost CHF 27.50.- for adults / CHF 20.- for students. Find out more here.

Sunday

On Sunday at the KKL (Europaplatz 1, 6005) ‘Tattoo On Stage’ will be preforming as part of the World Band Festival. Prestigious military orchestras and award-winning marching bands from Europe and Switzerland will present three performances of perfectly composed and choreographed music! The repertoire includes jazz, pop, rock, classical, film music and more! Tickets start from CHF 45.- and can be brought online.
