Ticks are pest of the moment with over 100 tick bites being reported per day. Be sure to read our post on how to deal with ticks to find out how to protect yourself.

Bicycles are the future! At least that‘s what the local government is hoping for. The vision is that by 2035 car circulation in the city will have sunk from 47% to 36%. This will be done by implementing more 30 km/h zones in the city and reducing the number of new car parking spots to 0.3% by new build versus 0.5% which currently is the rule. Bikes will given more routes and a shorter waiting time at traffic lights.

When the sun shines and the air is warm nothing is more inviting than a tour on the lake by ship. But sometimes this can lead to nasty surprises, especially when ships are full and cannot take on any more passengers, meaning that you are left stranded. Such as last Sunday in Weggis when over 100 people had to wait an extra 45 minutes to get home to Luzern. According to the head of the SGV, this happens 3 to 4 times a year, and whenever possible extra ships or buses are organised.
