The man who managed to close the Mall Of Switzerland down last week after calling in to say that he had planted a bomb there has been arrested. The 36 year old Swiss had called from a telephone booth, although the police would not say why he had done this, they did confirm that it was not linked to terrorism. As well as a jail sentence he will be faced with a bill costing several 100 000 francs for loss of revenue from the Mall of Switzerland as well as a bill from the fire brigade and the police for their efforts.

The Postauto affair continues with the current president of the company refusing to give police access to their internal files or emails. They are accused of having created millions of fake bills to justify rising costs.

The big pink platform had been kept after the Gästival in 2015 to be used as a centre for creativity but when that project didn’t see the light of day it was temporarily placed in Flüelen whilst waiting for a new home. However its permit to stay has now run out and it needs to be moved. The problem is that no one wants in in their commune waters meaning that it looks like to will have to be dismantled.

The new 200 franc note will be introduced this August, with more security features and a facelift it will join the 10, 20, 50 and 100 notes which have been put on the market in the past couple of years.
