Znüni News – Thursday 17. February 2022

And just like that… it’s life (nearly) back to normal. The government yesterday announced that all Covid-19 restrictions are lifted: no more showing certificates, no more home office or restrictions on how many people can meet. Also people travelling to Switzerland will no longer have to show a certificate or test. The only rules that still apply are wearing masks on public transport and in hospitals or cliniques, as well as isolating for 5 days if you have Covid-19. The government did ask everyone to understand if some people still wish to wear masks in certain spaces or are still uncertain about socialising in bigger numbers. Getting “back to normal” is not going to be an easy step for everyone.

But this means that … Fasnacht is back on! The full version of the festivities will be allowed to go ahead. The festivities will kick off Thursday February 24 at 5 a.m. with the Tagwach. We love Fasnacht so expect to hear a lot more about it in the coming days! In the meantime here is a website with all of the dates!

This also means that the LiLi Centre can run its full programmes again, so be sure to sign up for its newsletter to keep updated on all our events!
