It seems like this is a building /renovation season and, unfortunately, there is no end in site. From November 16 to 18 the Lucerne train station will be completely closed down! The SBB has not yet published which trains will be replaced with buses and how you can otherwise get around. We will inform you as soon as it is known.
Finding affordable accomodation is always a hot topic in Switzerland, and studies show that actually there are quite a few moderately priced apartments for rent in the canton of Lucerne. Ironically it is the high end priced property that are hard to find, preventing the super rich from moving into the city of Lucerne, however they should be able to find something to suit their expensive tastes in the canton as there still is plenty of property to be had in the area.

A documentary recently filmed such an operation at the St Anna clinic, a man underwent an intricate hand operation under hypnosis, he reported feeling no pain during and even after the operation. Although this definitely is not for everyone, there currently are 4000 medical students in Geneva learning how to administer hypnosis for medical treatments. Mind over matter seems to be a real thing.
