Znüni News – Monday May 14

A young tourist was pulled out of the Reuss after falling in on Sunday. The 23 year old Brasilian woman fell in the river near the Seebrücke and was pulled out of the water as she was being dragged by the current towards the Kappelbrücke by the lake police.

If you had wandered into the Jesuit church on Saturday you could have been forgiven for thinking that you were in a time warp as 13 men and 3 women were knighted into the “Order of the Holy Sepulchre”. Dating back to the middle ages and the search for the Holy Grail, this order based in Rome has over 30 000 members all over the world. The order now supports charitable projects in the “holy land” (Israel, Palestinia, Jordan and Cyprus).

If you are a movie lover, you know that, for decades now, Monday night was the night to go to the movies and watch a film cheaper. Unfortunately this will no longer be the case in Luzern as Kitag has decided to put an end to this policy without any explanation. The good news is that the Bourbaki will continue to offer a cheap Monday movie night so you know where to go to enjoy your dose of films!
