Znüni News – Monday December 6

It’s December 6th! Traditionally this means that today is Samichlaus day, so expect the Geissle Chlopfe (whip cracking to reach fever pitch today) and loads of kids carrying bags with nuts, clementines and chocolates. However, in our new reality, today is also the day that the new measures come into force. So you will need to wear a mask wherever the Covid certificate is required, sit for your meals and drinks in restaurants and bars. The certificate is now required for all events open to the public and sport and cultural amateur events. You can read all of the rules here. Should these rules not suffice, it is conceivable for event organisors to only allow the vaccinated and people recovered from Covid (known as the 2G rule) to attend events.

How long are you allowed to keep your outdoor Christmas lights on for? Believe it or not, there is a law and it states that outdoor Christmas lights are allowed from the 1st advent Sunday until January 6th and should be turned off at 1 a.m. Year round outdoor lights should be turned off at 10 p.m.

Another meter of snow is forecast in the mountains for this week, you can read about the ski resort opening dates right here.
