Znüni News – Friday November 26

Lucerne will not be imposing the wearing of masks at cultural and sport events quite yet. Our local health minister had called for this measure to be put into place, but later recognised that he did not have the authority to enforce this by himself. So for the time being cinemas, theatres, museums and sporting events will continue to “only” require the Covid certificate.

As of Monday anyone aged 16 and over who had their second Covid vaccination more than 6 months ago will be eligible for a booster shot. You can register for an appointment here.

The magazin Bilanz published its yearly list of the richest 300 people in Switzerland. Last year they got richer by a further 117 billion francs. The IKEA family Kamprad remain the richest with a fortune of CHF 55 – 56 billion, followed by the Roche families. The third richest person is the founder of the logistics company Kühne & Nagel, he saw his personal fortune grow by 17 billion francs last year alone. New to the list is singer Robbie Williams, who has bought himself a property outside of Geneva.
