The count down to Fasnacht is on! But have you got your Fasnacht costume? Official celebrations start from Saturday 22nd February and run through to 7th March. Shops, streets, train stations, offices, and anywhere else you can imagine are decorated and ready for the party to start. Now we just need to find something for ourselves! If you’re looking for where to shop for a Fasnacht costume in Lucerne, then we’ve got you covered. Below we have listed shops, both online and in-person, that we recommend you try. Prices and availability may vary, but one thing if for sure – it will help you get into the spirit of Fasnacht!
Mein Hobby – Vonarburg
Located at Alpenstrasse 10, 6004, Luzern (right in the centre of town). They have lots to offer for Fasnacht, from pre-made costumes to materials, accessories, and make-up if you plan to create your own or are looking for a final piece for your costume! They are open Monday – Friday 9am to 6.30pm and Saturdays 9am to 5pm. Visit their website here.

Located at Bireggstrasse 2, 6003, Luzern. They have a huge selection of Fasnacht costumes to choose from and are open Monday to Saturday from 10am. Closing times vary depending on the day, but they are open until 8pm on Thursdays. Second hand shops
In previous years, some local Heilsarmee Brockis sell second-hand Fasnacht costumes and accessories, or maybe you will find something there that you can use as part of a costume. The closest Brocki is in Kriens or there is one in Baar. Prices vary by Brocki so you might want to shop around.
Migros, Coop and Manor
Local mainstream shops/supermarkets like Migros, Coop and Manor are selling some Fasnacht costumes and accessories this year, depending on your local store. Migros in the centre of town and at the Mall of Switzerland have a small selection of adult and children’s costumes.
Online
Some easy options if you want to order online include Funshop, Party Panda, and Galaxus. Although once you start browsing, unless you’re looking for something specific, you will realise that much of the prices and offerings are very similar. Either way, there’s plenty to choose from if you would like to order from the comfort of your own home – just make sure to double check delivery times.
