Friday

This weekend (22. – 24. November) is the Suisse Tier exhibition at the Messe in Luzern (Horwerstrasse 87, 6005). Suisse Tier is the leading trade fair for livestock farming in Switzerland. Every two years, more than 200 exhibitors network and present exciting innovations in livestock husbandry. Entrance is CHF 13.- for adults and CHF 5.- for children. Find out more here.

On Friday afternoon the LiLi Centre (Alpenquai 40a, 6005) will be hosting a TED TALK+. The talk will focus on a quirky little grocery chain with California roots and surprisingly, Aldi ownership, which has a lot to teach all of us about choice architecture, efficiency, frugality, collaboration, and team spirit.  Participants are asked to listen to the podcast and read the short articles listed here before coming to the discussion. From 14:00 – 16:00.

Saturday

The Lucerne World Theatre Company will be having their theatre production of “The Dragon’s Tale” at the Theatre Pavillon, Speltenriniweg 6. This play is suitable for families with children aged 3+.

On Saturday evening German indie rock band The Notwist will be preforming live at the Neubad (Bireggstrasse 36, 6003). Find out more about the band here. Tickets cost CHF 40.- or CHF 35.- online in advance. Concert starts at 21:00.

Also on Saturday evening Luca Hänni will be preforming at the Stadtkeller (Sternenplatz 3, 6004). Luca came 4th overall at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv achieving the best result in Switzerland in 26 years! The concert starts at 20:30. Find out more here.

Sunday

Sunday is the final day of the Lucerne Piano Festival and renowned pianist Igor Levit will be preforming at the KKL Concert Hall (Europaplatz 1, 6005). Tickets start at CHF 30.- and can be brought online here. The recital starts at 17:00.
