Once again we are on the home stretch to the summer holidays. If you are going to need some help to keep the kids entertained for the upcoming 6 to 8 weeks and you don’t want to constantly hear the, ‘I’m bored’ refrain then we have some great suggestions that the kids can enjoy and will help you stress less.


FerienPass Luzern

A great way to get the kids out of the house is by taking advantage of the Luzern Holiday Pass 2022 which this year is valid from 10 July to 20 August. The pass is a regional offer from 17 participating municipalities and is aimed at children and young people (aged 6 to 18). The pass entitles them to free travel (including by bus, train and boat) and free entry into 10 Badis as well as 13 other museums and attractions.

The Luzerner FerienPass is working with Blindspot to make sure all children and young people with special needs can participate in the city’s leisure activities.

There are two passes available and cost is per week:

Ferienpass: CHF 12
– Free travel and entrance fees
– Valid from the first summer holiday week

Ferienpass PLUS: CHF 17
– Free travel and entrance fees
– Sightseeing
– Activities and studios
– Movie theatres
– Day animation (additional costs: +5 francs / day)
– Valid from the second summer holiday week – 18 July

Tickets can be purchased at the Onlineshop after registration. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased at PH Luzern, Pfistergasse 20, from 12 June to 14 July 2023, or at the Ferienpass Centre set up in the Säli Schulhaus, Pilatusstrasse 59, from 17 July to 17 August 2023. In the Ferienpass Centre daily activities and workshops are offered. There is also a Kids Café with a fire bowl and a playground.

Intersoccer

One of the few organisations running football camps during the school holidays (the closest is in canton Zug) where English is the main language. They run a variety of summer camps including:

Mini Summer Camps: a fantastic fun introduction to Soccer for 3–5 year-olds for Boys & Girls wanting to do mornings only. Lots of fun games related to children’s ages helping improve skill, technique, balance, movement & coordination via great children’s coaches.

Junior Summer Camps: cater for 5-9 year-olds who are put into age & ability groups coached by first aid & football qualified coaches teaching them new skills/techniques through our fantastic structured coaching programs including lots of small sided matches

Academy Summer Camps are for Boys & Girls approx. 10-13yrs looking for bigger challenges over 1-5 days.

MS Sports

MS Sports offers a large variety of four- and five-day non-residential holiday camps in hip hop dancing, tennis, football, horse riding, sport and chess and unihockey (one day) across various locations in cantons Luzern, Zug and Nidwalden. Some of the camps also have overnight stays.

The previously run MS Sports week-long residential camps in Sursee are taking a break until 2024 while their camp concept is being revised.

Kinder-Camps

Kinder-Camps was founded in 2007 and runs clinics throughout Switzerland. There are four- or five-day Polysportive camps for children aged 6 -13 based in Kriens, Luzern and Emmenbrücke. Activities can include climbing, football, hockey, dancing, acrobatics, juggling, and capoeira (Brazilian martial arts).


«fit4future» Sportcamp Luzern

For primary school children in 1st to 6th grade. This sports camp takes place in Alpenquai, Luzern and gives kids the opportunity to try a new sport each day!

  • When: 14, 16 & 18 August

  • Cost: CHF 150 per child, per week. The price includes supervision, coaching, lunch, t-shirt and water bottle!

ASK Inclusive Bilingual Day Camp

ASK Bilingual Camp is an inclusive program, dedicated to offering a special haven for children and young adults aged 3-17 who have Learning Differences and Special Educational Needs. The fully integrated program allows children to develop their social skills, creativity and learning through fun games and activities, which are structured according to age and their skill level. They have highly qualified staff including psychologists, experienced specialist teachers, counselors, speech therapists, ABA therapists, art therapist, music therapist and a nurse.

The full day camp runs from 9:00 to 16:30 and includes lunch and two snacks, and access to community trips, eg. pool.

The half day camp is for 3 to 6 year olds only and runs from 9 to 12.30.
