CV Workshop – Preparing for the Swiss Job Market

For the fourth time the LiLi Centre(Community centre in Luzern) and JIFF (Job Integration For Foreigners) organisations are releasing a new CV Workshop sessions, starting this Thursday June 7th. It is a specific programme for people who are searching for a job in Switzerland and the goal is to help international residents to understand the local Swiss Job market, the specific rules expected when writing a CV, communication and networking online and all other aspects that are important while you are applying for a job.

The LiLi Centre and JIFF are happy to gather professionals and other organisations, who share their own knowledge, experience, expertise and examples during these sessions.

SESSION ONE: 7. June 2018 (18:30 – 20:30)

This first session will be led by Denise Mattsson of JIFF and is all about preparing your CV for the Swiss market. Your USP, your CV & selling yourself on paper. Participants should bring their CV’s with them on this evening.

SESSION TWO: 14. June 2018 (18:30 – 20:30)

The second session will be divided into two parts. The first will be led by Petraviciute Lina of Tuskwood who will talk about LinkedIn, your social media profile and its importance. The second section will be led by Denise Mattsson and include follow-ups to CVs as well as looking at participants online profiles.

SESSION THREE: 21. June 2018 (18:30 – 20:30)

The final session will also be divided into two parts. The first section will be led by Dr Brandi Eijsermans of Optimal Wellness Global. How are your CVs interpreted by recruiters? How to make your weaknesses your USPs?! The second part will be led by Evelin Bermudez of Swiss International Volunteer Organisation – SIVO who will talk about strategic volunteering.

Cost: CHF 40.- per person* for the whole 3 part workshop (to be paid in cash on first evening)
