After 23 months, due to the improvement of number of cases and the easing of the situation of the hospitals, the government has decided to lift the majority of restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
From Thursday, 17 February, the following nationwide restrictions will be lifted:
- Compulsory wearing of masks in shops and indoor areas of restaurants as well as establishments, businesses and events open to the public.
- Compulsory certification in establishments and businesses such as cinemas, theatres, indoor areas of restaurants as well as events
- Permit requirement for large events
- Restriction on private meetings
- Home office recommendation
- Proof of vaccination, convalescence or testing upon entry and entry form in to the country
- Voluntary capacity restrictions in retail trade and cable cars
To be maintained until 31 March:
- Mandatory use of masks in public transport and health care facilities
- Isolation of five days for persons tested positive
On March 31. the country’s “special status” will be lifted and the CovidTask Force will be disbanded.
Please note that the certificate is still required for traveling to other countries.
