Train commuters will have noticed the 100 meter long digital screens now operating in the train station. This project cost 2.8 million francs with the purpose of informing commuters about their next connection and mainly tourists about the activities in and around the city.


This summer there will be no „Slide my city“ in Lucerne. The 22 meter long slide will only be in Glarus, Lausanne, Wallisellen, St. Gallen, Basel and Solothurn. The organisation behind the project hope to bring it back to Lucerne in 2020.


Tennis fans will want to watch Roland-Garros this afternoon at 2 p.m., as the two Swiss champions, Roger Federer (3) and Stan Wawrinka (24) will battle it out for a spot in the semi finals. Although Federer has won 22 of the 25 matches he has played against Wawrinka in the past. Wawrinka‘s matched into the quarter final was heralded as the match of Roland Garros so far. 
The other notable match this afternoon will see Rafael Nadal (2) play against Kei Nishikori (7) which will also take place at 2 p.m.
