The government has set itself and the country clear goals: by December 10 we should be at less than 2000 daily new cases of Covid-19 and below 500 by the end of this year. Should these goals not be met, new restrictions could be put into place. Currently we are averaging around 6500 new daily cases.

Traveling by public transport around the country can be an expensive proposition, which is why people in the know have been relying on the daily travel cards offered by their communes for CHF 48.-. Unfortunately the good times are coming to an end and within the next 3 years these cheap daily passes will be phased out. It is as yet unclear whether a digital version could be offered.

The Venite International Christmas Market will, this year, be replaced by a series of small concerts in the St Peter’s Chapel.

The government has reassured the population that Christmas will be allowed to take place, just in small groups and whenever possible outdoors. New Year‘s Eve celebrations are less certain… 2020 forever?
