On Friday evening hip hop band Nepumuk will be preforming at the Treibhaus in Luzern (Spelteriniweg 4). Doors open at 22:00, the concert starts at 23:00. Tickets cost CHF 15.- More details here.
‘Ford – Abenteuer einer alleinstehenden Socke’. On Saturday morning (10:30) there is a children’s book reading at the People’s Factory (Bundesstrasse 21). Ford the sock has lost his partner and needs to work up the courage to leave the drawer and set off on a quest to find him! The story will be read in German by Lilian Stross. CHF 5.- per person. Saturday from 16:00 is ‘Eine Million Sterne’ at the Hofkirche St. Leodegar (Sankt Leodegarstrasse 6). The annual event aims to give a voice to those affected by poverty and show solidarity with them. The proceeds are donated to an aid project for children and their families in central Switzerland. Visitors can light a candle and enjoy a sea of lights with a glass of mulled wine or punch. Also on Saturday, it’s Das Luzerner Weihnachtskonzert (The Luzern Christmas Concert) at the KKL (Europaplatz 1). The Lucerne Concert Band and Swiss Eurovision contestant Luca Hänni will be preforming alongside the Children and Youth Choir of St. Anton/St. Michael. Doors open at 18:00 and the concert begins at 19:00. More details, including how to buy tickets, can be found here. Visitors will be able to meet Luca Hänni after the show and possibly get an autograph!
On Sunday evening (17:00) is the Wiähnachtsgedankä (Christmas Thoughts) at the Lukaskirche in Luzern (Morgartenstrasse 16). Entrance is free.
