Easter in and around Lucerne

For those of us who have opted for a staycation, good news, the weather is promising to be gorgeous during Easter so there are plenty of opportunities to make the most of the Easter celebrations. Here are some ideas.

First of all, this is the time to enjoy all things chocolate, so be sure to check out our post on the best chocolate experiences in the area, you can read it here.

Second you can celebrate at a Good Friday service led by Pastor Markus from the International Church of Lucerne at the Ufschötti at 9.30 a.m.

Their Sunday service will take place at the usual time of 10.30 a.m.

The Animal Park Goldau is celebrating Easter with Brunches and Easter egg hunts throughout the park, you can find out more here.

On Easter Monday there will be a Green Easter Egg Hunt in the Gütschwald organised by the BHMS school who aim to organize an Easter egg hunt with the CO2 footprint in mind. Not only will there be an Easter egg hunt on the program but also various games, quizzes, snack, and beverages. The event will cost CHF 15.- per child: all profits go to the Sanni foundation, helping children to attend school ensuring them an education. More details here.

Like every year the Nature Museum will have chicks being hatched and on display from April 16 to 28. More details here.

For those who enjoy the finer things in lunch, the Bürgenstock resort is offering a Sunday Easter Brunch including champagne and the return boat trip for CHF 178.-

Or you could enjoy a brunch on a boat touring the lake of Lucerne, for a more moderate CHF 99.- Book early!
